Wedding Ceremony

Here we are!

Ready to get cracking on your ceremony?

I am, and I can't wait : )

To secure your date in my wedding calendar, please complete the five steps we discussed below:

1. First - Read the Terms and Conditions and Statement of Fees

Reading the Terms and Conditions before payment is a requirement. This is a verbal agreement. At this stage, you have agreed to book my services; therefore, continuing to pay the booking fee to hold your date indicates that you have read and agreed to all terms and conditions listed.

2. Make the booking fee payment

After paying your $200 non-refundable booking fee payment either by direct deposit or cash, your booking is confirmed for the agreed date or $270 if you would like your marriage certificate from BDM. Details are below.

If you would like me to apply for your marriage certificate, which I highly recommend, there is a $70 charge from BDM for this certificate. It is a legal document to prove that you are married. It will help with bank loans, visas, wills, etc. You do not have to change your surname, but this is the certificate you will need if you decide to do so. If you apply for this certificate, BDM will ask you for three forms of ID, and it will take up to 6 weeks. It will only take a week if I apply on your behalf. Easy!

3. Make the final payment no later than four weeks before your ceremony date

Your balance payment and any additional costs agreed upon, as per the statement of fees, will be invoiced separately via email and are due no later than four weeks prior to the ceremony.

NOTE

The ceremony fee for 2025 is $1270. (Your Marriage Certificate is included)

(For 2026 bookings, the fee will stay the same, but it can be subject to change)

4. Print out the first two documents:

  • Print out and fill in the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) or we can do this together if you like with your ID documents. DO NOT SIGN IT. Your signatures have to be witnessed by me.

  • The Code of Practise is there for you to read. This is my work ethic to maintain a high standard of service in my professional conduct and practise as an Authorised Celebrant.

Note: I need to witness you signing and dating the NOIM.

Who may witness a NOIM signed outside Australia

  • an Australian Diplomatic Officer

  • an Australian Consular Officer

  • a notary public

  • an employee of the Commonwealth authorised under paragraph 3(c) of the Consular Fees Act 1955 or

  • an employee of the Australian Trade Commission authorised under paragraph 3(d) of the Consular Fees Act.

Let's rock and roll :-)

5. Fill in the Wedding Questionnaire

Now for the fun part!

This questionnaire is designed to gather information to help me write the most amazing script for your special occasion…with your help of course. Together we can collaborate and come up with a beautifully written script that is all about you and your partner for life.
